Runners

I embroidered this runner a few years back and finally finished it!  I used organza with tafetta at the back - not the easiest fabrics to work with, but I love the way it turned out.  The ends is adorned with beautiful beads.

A close up of the embroidery.

I made the two runners below at the same time, but they were sadly lost in our house fire of August 2014.

This is the Frangipani design set of Artistic Designs.

Unfinished objects

The past week I manage to finish 2 projects.

The first is a rough edge tray cloth I started way back in 2012 during one of our quilting group's monthly meetings.  I finish stitching it September 2015 except for the binding.  Although the fabric was not enough for the binding, I added 2 co-ordinating colours and just love the way it turned out:

Then I finished a handbag made of rope covered by fabric.  I used leftover fabric from various quilts.  I started this project September 2015.

I even stitched 2 place mats from the leftover rope.

Hopefully I will continue finishing up UFO's.  It is really a bad habit not completing projects.  And they accumulate so fast...

Spit Cloths

I have been embroidering spit cloths again for friends of mine.

The first one with a penguin from Anita Goodesign

and another with the elephant I bought at Appliquetion Station - I am totally in love with him!

I also embroidered two beautiful rabbits from the Bountiful Bunnies set of Dream Designs.  You can get the collection here.

I love using variegated thread, but was really disappointed with McKenzie's colour mix.  Should have tested beforehand...

Lastly I embroidered a cute duck from the Suzy Zoo set of Bernina.
